Feast of Justice
I volunteered at the Feast of Justice organization where their goals are addressing hunger needs and inspiring hope as they work in justice in the Northeast area of Philadelphia. They provide to individuals and families in need of food. The organization held an indoor farmers market dedicated to the community where they could come in and get produce for free. I was tasked with throwing out old food and helping direct people through the market who were getting food. People were able to get an abundance of free produce to take home from the market while getting information about other opportunities to get food. I learned about communicating in other ways to speak with others who don’t speak english. Also I learned about the ins and outs of organizing and running a program that benefits people in a community.
