Reinvestment Fund
During the summer of 2017, I worked at Reinvestment Fund, a non-profit CDFI. I have had the opportunity to get experience working underneath of the Systems Administrator. My day to day work consists mainly of assisting our employees with any technical issues they may be experiencing. However, I also have the opportunity to work on many side projects throughout the summer.
I had the opportunity to gain networking experience. I was tasked with updating our Network Diagrams to accurately reflect the current network layout. I was able to learn about the different pieces of hardware required to support not only our HQ but our remote sites as well. In addition to rebuilding the network diagrams, I also was tasked with re-configuring our network performance monitor(NPM). Our NPM was our tool that was used to alert our IT department if any of our equipment was down.
