Introduction to IT Architecture
I completed the LinkedIn Learning: Introduction to IT Architecture.
In this course I learned the role of IT architecture in organizations. There are three main types of IT architects: enterprise architect, software architect, and infrastructure architect. An enterprise architect find IT solutions for a business’ strategy. A software architect are technical. They make code and fins cost-efficient software solutions. Lastly, infrastructure architects makes sure the business is running smoothly.
I also learned the best practices for IT architects like scalability, security, modularity, and more. In addition, I learned the components of IT architecture include software, hardware, networks, databases and more. An IT architect initially goes through a design process then implement it.
I can apply this knowledge by understanding different roles I could apply to in the future. In addition, if I were to go into IT consulting I have a general understanding of how IT works in a company.
