Horizon Media & Google Hackathon: Hacking the Screen
This event was hosted in collboration with Horizon Media and Google in the NYC Office on April 17th 2025. The day consisted of a series of networking, business, and tech workshops followed by a 4 hour hackathon and presentation + demo. The purpose of the hackathon is to foster the interest of students in the marketing, tech, and AI intersection. Use cases explored in this event included predictive analysis to understand movie revenue, syntheic AI audiences to generate persona feedback and personalize ad campaigns, and quantitative method development for understanding consumer likelihood to watch a movie in theaters. I got to learn about and work with new Google technology and data to uncover solutions to these problems as well as network with peers and more experienced professionals in the industry.
