AI and Data Extraction Intern
During my time as an AI and Data Extraction Intern at Honeycomb Credit, I developed a sophisticated social listening tool designed to identify local small businesses eligible for investment opportunities. Honeycomb Credit, a Pittsburgh-based investment crowdfunding platform, sponsored this initiative. My role involved creating an automated system using Google Alerts, Google Sheets, and custom JavaScript code to gather and analyze real-time data on thousands of small businesses. The tool populated a dynamic spreadsheet with relevant business information, including industry type, location, and links to published articles, allowing our team to target potential collaborations efficiently.
I also managed Honeycomb’s email infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS). This included setting up custom email domains, configuring S3 buckets, and using Route 53 for routing to enhance email deliverability. By integrating AWS tools, I streamlined our outreach efforts, ensuring secure and reliable communication with potential clients. Additionally, I applied AI through GPT Sheets to generate personalized email content at scale, further optimizing our outreach process. This internship provided me with hands-on experience in data management, cloud computing, and AI-driven automation, all while supporting Honeycomb’s mission to fund and grow small businesses.
