Company: Arqeo, LLC

Position: Real Estate Asset and Portfolio Manager, Sales and Leasing

At Arqeo, I was put in charge of managing the current tenants, properties, and correspondence between potential tenants. Using market research, I would locate businesses that could fit into a portfolio property of Arqeo. During this internship, I was able to further develop my communication, sales, time management, and analytical skills while attributing to the companies increased occupancy rate.

Company: Ameriprise Financial

Position: Financial Advisory Intern

Ameriprise offered me a first look into the financial world as a college student. During my time at Ameriprise, I worked for two advisers that had a total of 42 years of experience in financial advising. I began my internship there by prepping files for appointments, handling client correspondence and meetings, and conducting basic research. The advisers, Kevin and Terry,  began giving me projects to work on involving deeper research and intuition such as tax laws regarding charitable contributions. By the time I finished my 10 month internship at Ameriprise I was creating asset allocations for important clients, recommending new stocks, funds, and ETFs to the advisers, and conducting proactive analysis of clients assets. This internship allowed me to increase my knowledge about personal finance and investing, expand my problem solving abilities, and expand my multi-tasking capabilities by handling up to 10 projects at a time.

Company: Computer Aid, Inc.

Position: Service Desk Analyst Intern

While interning at Computer Aid, Inc., I was involved with solving technical issues for clients over the telephone. Clients would call the service center concerned and frustrated when an issue arose at with their computers, internet, or other devices. I would calm the client and offer my empathy in order to communicate the resolution to the issue in a precise and comprehensible manner. CAI offered me great insight into the human dynamic of handling difficult problems and interacting with many clients.
