Bank of China
Bank of China was founded in 1912 by the Republican government to replace the Imperial Bank of China. It is the oldest bank in mainland China still in existence. Until 31 December 2009, it was the second largest lender in China overall, and the 5th largest bank in the world by market capitalization value.
I had my internship in international settlement department of Bank of China Leshan Branch from 15 July 2014 to 15 August 15 2014. I worked as an office assistant. My work was about daily routine such as received the customer, recorded the customer’s information, assisted the operator for auditing every day.
According to this internship, I put some accounting and finance concepts into my work. For example, I used some accounting concepts to assist the operator for daily auditing. Moreover, I assisted the director and operator to estimate the customer’s credit and risk rate in the lending services by using some finance concepts.
After this internship, I realized even though it is impossible to apply all concepts in the work, some concepts we learnt in the class can really help us handle the work and make the work easy and convenient.
