Work Experience
I began working at Hartefeld National Gold Club Grille & Pub after my freshman year. Here I started off having three jobs; to bus tables, run off and expedite the food coming out of the kitchen. I enjoyed my summer nights expediting which consisted of gathering each table’s food orders and double checking that the cooks prepared the food to the customers standards and expectations. This job was high paced and stressful during busy nights as when a order was sent back to the kitchen, the expeditor was held responsible. As the summer was coming to a close and I was heading back to Temple my manager chose me as the only person on my team of bussers, food runners, and expeditors to be promoted to a server. I then trained over my Thanksgiving break and hit the ground running as a server during the winter break. I plan to go back after this 2016 summer break and continue to serve at Hartefeld.
