Data Analyst Intern
During my data analyst internship with the City of Philadelphia, I was responsible for analyzing contractor compliance data across multiple public housing projects. I worked with tools such as Power BI, Excel, Word, B2Gnow, and LCPTracker to extract, organize, clean, and analyze housing compliance data for over 10 large-scale public housing contracts. I built interactive dashboards in Power BI and created PivotTables in Excel to support reporting on MBE (Minority Business Enterprise), WBE (Women Business Enterprise), and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) compliance.
Utilizing concepts from Data Science (MIS 0885), I developed a deeper understanding of data analysis, reporting, and visualization. With the help of SQL and Python that I learned from my Data and Analytics class (MIS 2502), I was able to navigate and interact with the provided applications more efficiently, improving my ability to clean and interpret complex datasets. This experience strengthened my technical and analytical skills and directly connected to key areas of my major, including applied analytics, programming, and data-driven decision-making.
