Into to Management Information Systems:
This introductory class taught me how to use and create customer relationship management systems. Additionally I learned many other base procedures of MIS, such as the infrastructure of swim line diagrams and entity relationship diagrams.
Data Analytics:
I was enrolled in this class and have already learned valuable skills that will help in the work environment. During this semester I furthered my knowledge of how to extract and input date into databases using programs like MYSQL. Also, I learned how to fully use R and Rstudio in order to group data.
Digital Solutions
This very unique class has furthered my skills in the Business Analysis field. In this class I truly experienced what it means as an MIS student to bridge the gap between technology and business. In order to do this we worked with a real client in the Philadelphia area to improve service aggregation between their merchants and customers with micro-influencers. We also used a prototyping program called Just-in-Mind to do this. This class was very helpful towards career preparation as it allowed me to work on a project for a real client.
Enterprise IT
This class furthered my software development and allowed me to create a multitude of virtual machines. We spent a large part of the class honing software development skills by using notepad++ and node.js to code a variety of programs with a multitude of functions. We also spent a large part of time using Microsoft Azure to create virtual machines with many different requirements and logins. This class prepares me for future careers by truly understanding and advancing my technical development skills.
