On November 11, I attended the Philadelphia Sports Career Fair, hosted by the Philadelphia 76ers. This career fair consisted of dozens of different sports-related organizations in the Philadelphia area and Northeast as a whole. I found this fair to be extremely productive; I have always had an interest in sports, and it was cool to see how I can apply my MIS background to a passion of mine. For example, I talked to the New York Yankees, who when I told them my major, were very interested in talking more, and they took down my LinkedIn. I also talked to companies like the 76ers, PlayFly Sports, and the Reading Fightin’ Phils. With a school as prestigious as Temple, and a major so versatile, many organizations showed interest in my MIS major, and how that can apply to most technology-related systems.<\/p>\n
