TUBC Blockchain & AI Workshop
This was an event by TUBC, hosted by Mitchel Zilbershteyn. He first began by asking us questions such as if we know what blockchain was and what it does. We had a little discussion on it and it really helped me grasp a basic understanding of blockchain, how it works, and why this is important. Then going into how blockchain can be used in conjunction with AI. An example that stood out was when talking about ways for hospitals to create bigger and more impressive pools of data using AI and encrypted data in order to create estimations and draw educated guesses on things such as the more common age for someone to be diagnosed with a certain disease. With blockchain, you are able to ensure the data coming in is quality, as it leaves a trackable path of every transaction so you can see exactly where the data came from.
