Academics and Extracurricular Activities
In my coursework at Temple University so far, I have learned many things in a variety of subject areas. In my Entrepreneurship class,SGM 3501, I learned skills on innovation, brainstorming, and making your idea a reality. I have learned Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, amongst other subject matters that will be useful in the real world. Last semester I was a participant in the Be Your Own Boss Bowl(BYOBB), where I went through every step of writing a business plan, from idea inception to financial projections. This experience taught me many valuable skills that I will be able to utilize in the future.
In addition to school, I like to volunteer. I am currently a volunteer at TreeHouse Books. I tutor young North Philadelphia youth in many subjects ranging from math to the arts. It is a fun, rewarding experience that I have enjoyed, so far, for three years.
