Technology Assurance Intern
Deloitte is a leading national professional services firm that specializes in tax, audit and assurance, risk and financial advisory, and consulting. The internship in the summer of 2020 was in the Risk and Financial Advisory under Technology Assurance practice. Deloitte’s Risk and Financial Advisory helps businesses identify and evaluate business risks and navigate opportunities that overcome those risks and gain a competitive advantage. As Technology Assurance practice, employees are responsible to identify and evaluate risks from technology perspective, and manage those risks by implementing technologies that help to control those risks, for example, implementing robotics, data digitization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Due to COVID-19, the length of original 8 – 10 week internship has been shortened to 2 weeks and redesigned to be online. During the 2-week internship, I participated in various training programs that provide information about Deloitte, additional knowledge and insights about technology-related risks, and how Deloitte manages those risks. Additionally, I participated in a client simulation regarding technology risks where we were assigned into teams that helped us to develop relevant technical and professional skills.
