NBC Sports Arena at Xfinity Live! Philadelphia, PA

Unknownimages

At Xfinity Live I was first hired in April 2014 as a hostess at NBC Sports Arena, just before flyers playoff season. Recently I have been promoted to Assistant Lead hostess and Server. Working at Xfinity is very different from most sports bars and restaurants that I’ve been employed at. We are located right in the middle of the major sports arenas in the south Philly area so naturally we are always hosting many customers during sports games- especially Philadelphia Eagles fans. Being a hostess at Xfinity is a lot different than hosting at other restaurants, we are required to seat guests and handle all guests questions and concerns as well as prepare VIP accommodations for professional athletes, professional music artists and CEOS across the country. We are also required to handle the high demand of reservations and seating arrangements for all sports games playing on our 32 ft screen TV.

Dairy Fresh is a local ice cream parlor in my home town Williamstown, NJ. I am employed here over the summers that I’m home from school. At Dairy Fresh, I am a shift leader and lead cake decorator. I am responsible for all cake orders each week as well as stocking the shelves on display at the front of the store. As a shift leader I am also responsible for counting and handling payments as well as counting all money in the drawer at the end of my shift.

Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

OliveGardenLogo3

When I was first a freshman at college I was hired at Olive Garden as a waitress. Olive Garden taught me a lot about team work and really helped me improve my customer service skills. I worked at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Center City Philadelphia located right in front of city hall. Since Philadelphia is constantly visited by tourists, you never really knew who your customers were going to be every night and you had to be prepared to introduce people from all over to Philadelphia. This experience really introduced me to a wide variety of people from all over the country and even from across the world!
