I.T. Intern at Interphase Systems Inc
Over the 2017 summer, I spent my time as an I.T. Intern at Interphase Systems Inc. Interphase is a company that deals in managed IT services and consulting. My internship lasted for 13 weeks, 4 days a week for 8 hours a day. The experience that I gained at Interphase was invaluable. I was able to grow in a professional sense and in a technical sense. At Interphase, I was exposed to many different work types including, but not limited to research, client work, and working within the Microsoft Azure environment.
The highlights of my time spent at Interphase were researching data breach notification and compliance laws for all US states and territories that have them, researching the implementation of a hybrid cloud and on-premises domain system through Azure for the company, and doing client work backing up data from a cloud storage service. The research I did for the data breach notification and compliance laws is going to be used to help the company sell a service to clients making sure they meet all regulations. The research I did involving the hybrid domain system was to ensure duplication of user accounts from on-premises servers to Azure VMs through Azure AD Connect. Lastly, the work I did for clients was used to help the client copy data from a cloud storage service that they were no longer using before all their data was deleted.
