My first internship began at EmCare, Inc. located in Horsham, Pa. This is a medical staffing agency that has offices throughout the U.S. I was hired in the summer of 2011 as a Recruiting Assistant Intern. My daily tasks were to assist the recruiters on finding residents, doctors that were doing their training at Universities in the U.S., to work either as part-time or full-time in our contracted hospitals. This would involve making spreadsheets on excel for potential doctors, find contact information so that we could reach out to them with advertisements, and cold call doctors to follow up with them once they had received information on hospitals they were interested in working at. I went on to do this for two summers, and came back for two winter breaks.
