Philadelphia Insurance Companies
Currently, I am in the insurance industry interning at Philadelphia Insurance Companies working on the carrier side. My interest in insurance came about when I took my first Risk Management course at Temple University. I then went on to take the next two classes which were Employee Benefits and Property/Casualty Insurance Coverages. At Philadelphia Insurance Co. I am a Marketing Representative Intern and I have been there for nine months. I assist the marketing representatives in soliciting new business for our company. My tasks are to cold call and email preferred agents to acquire new business, cross sell some of our products, and gather as many renewal policies as possible. This internship was very competitive in the summer as I was competing against nine interns to see who can gather the most business each week. I have gained a tremendous amount of experience at Philadelphia Ins. Co.
