Temple University Resnick Center for Student Athletes
I currently work as a Business Communications tutor for student athletes. I work closely with student athletes to increase their comprehension of the Business Communications class. I edit content, correct grammar, and help them avoid topic drift in their papers. I help the students formulate a strong thesis, to which they can form a strong paper around. I work effectively with a diverse group of students, including international students, to help increase writing and presenting skills.
Temple University Division of Undergraduate Studies
Starting in 2012, I act as a Peer Instructor for University Seminar 1001 courses (General Freshman Seminar) each Fall semester. My duty is to help the lead instructor assist new students with their transition to the University in a classroom setting. I help the lead instructor with creating and executing syllabi, while also serving as a liaison between students and university officials.
Montage Mountain Resorts
Over the course of 9 seasons (2009-2013: 4 summers, 5 winters), I worked as a cashier turned server and bartender for Montage Mountain Resorts. I provided energetic and timely customer service for on-the-go customers. I began as cashier and was later promoted to server and bartender in 2013 because of my eagerness to learn new positions and my willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. I served as a cook, cashier, bartender, etc. when needed, including assisting the manager with group events and birthday parties.
Moosic Lakes
For 5 consecutive summers (2009-2013), I worked as a lifeguard at Moosic Lakes in Mount Cobb, Pennsylvania. My duty was to ensure the safekeeping of patrons in the lake by surveying scenes, enforcing policies, and both preventing and responding to emergencies. As a lifeguard, I possess certain skills, including Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, Certification, and AED Certification in order to save the lives of helpless swimmers. I was required to follow emergency action plans in the event of an emergency.
