Professional Organizations
While at school, I have tried to become as active as possible in professional organizations and their extracurricular activities, as an additional way of enhancing my professional development. Specifically, I am a member of four different professional organizations at Temple University.
First, I am a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). Overall, the society has given me a strong sense of integrity, as this is the foundation of the organization. In addition, NSCS offers scholarships and awards to members and professors who demonstrate and encourage integrity on campus.
Second, I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). As a member, I have developed my leadership and communication skills through watching speaker presentations on leadership, participating in a 4-hour Leadership Training Day, and organizing 3 Success Networking Team Meetings.
Third, I am a member of Beta Alpha Psi. This is Temple Unversity’s honor accounting student professional organization. Members must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2, both cumulative and in their major. Through company presentations/workshops, networking events, and community service opportunities, I have made a strong circle of friends and professionals that are always willing to help.
Finally, I just became a lifetime member of International Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma!!
