Experience in the program
I have been a mentee for this program for 2 semesters and I can say that I learned so much. One thing that I got out of this program was keeping in touch with students from your major. I learned that networking not just with professors and external organizations that come to Temple, but with students in your major can enhance your learning in certain classes. My mentor helped me with keeping track of my PRO points. He was able to show me the the events on the MIS page that is posted on the calendars in which you can attend to obtain PRO points (webinars, IBIT chats, etc..). My mentor also helped me organize my resume. My resume looks a lot cleaner, has less irrelevant words and more of the key words that can potentially stand out to recruiters. All in all, it was a great experience and I would like to be a mentor next time to give out advice.
