I interned in the Philadelphia office as an Audit IT Assurance Intern, where I supported different client engagements and saw firsthand how technology and IT controls play a big role in the audit process. My responsibilities included preparing workpapers, documenting test results, and participating in client walkthroughs to better understand business processes and related controls. I worked on multiple engagements simultaneously, completing tasks such as testing access controls, reviewing IT general controls, and evaluating IT audit evidence provided by clients. I also had the opportunity to seek out mentorship and guidance from not only my coach and buddy, but the rest of the IT Audit team as well.<\/p>\n<p>This experience gave me a deeper understanding of IT risk and the audit process while also allowing me to connect both of my majors.
