Technology Sales and Business Development Intern
- FreedomPay helps enterprise merchants in Hospitality, Healthcare, Higher Education, Retail and Financial Services simplify complex payment environments and embrace payment innovation. As North America’s first PCI Validated Point-to-Point Encryption solution with EMV and NFC capable terminals, FreedomPay provides a secure payment gateway with broad integrations across top point-of-sale, device manufacturers and payment processors. I worked with the Sales, Business Development, and Software Development teams.
- In my position as a Technology Sales and Business Development Intern, I-
- Generated new sales leads by searching for contacts and sending out email campaigns
- Analyzed Email Campaigns to track interaction and send out follow-up emails
- Add documents to CRM and track sales progress
- Create a Sales Analytical Dashboard through Microsoft Power BI.
- At Freedompay, I was asked to create a Sales Dashboard through Microsoft Power BI. This project was very research-intense. I was asked to gather all of the data from Marketo, email marketing program, that my colleague and I have gathered for over six months. From this data, I was able to create the BI and show analytics about the Title, Fields, and Companys that were most interested in our emails. I was also able to discover the specific Month, day, and time that were most successful to send out our email campaigns.
- At FreedomPay, I learned a lot about my capabilities and strengths/weaknesses. This opportunity taught me a lot about the corporate world and also the field of Management Information Systems. After completing Data Analytics, I was able to use my knowledge of SQL in my Power BI project. I also interacted with Business Analysts and Project Managers daily and see what their job entails.
