eCommerce Intern

As a part-time intern at QVC, I had the opportunity to work in the beauty and jewelry eCommerce department. During my time, I helped manage the beauty and jewelry metas on the QVC website, created weekly competitors analysis, and pitched potential vendor ideas for my intern project. While working on the beauty meta, I used several systems to maintain the quality and user experience of the site. I worked with the digital, IT, merchandising, and social departments to make sure products had accurate images and descriptions. I was in constant communication with vendors to ensure that we had all the necessary information for the website. In addition to helping manage the website, I conducted an competitors (beauty companies) analysis every week. In the analysis, I examined how the competitors website looked and suggested ways that the we could improve our website so there was a better user experience and user engagement. Lastly, for my intern project, my team and I pitched two brands that we thought QVC should pursue. For our project we looked at how the brands would benefit QVC, how QVC would benefit the brand, what the brand stands for, and created an eCommerce strategy. I used skilled from my business analysis class to find potential improvements on the QVC website. In my business analysis class, we created use cases, developed personas, and prototyped website. Overall, my MIS courses and my QVC internship has allowed to me to have a well-rounded experience.
