Opportunity Knocks: Acing Your Interview: Best Practices

I participated in Opportunity Knocks: Acing Your Interview — Best Practices, a professional development workshop sponsored by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce. During this session, I learned practical strategies for preparing for interviews, including how to research prospective employers, structure responses, and communicate accomplishments using clear and compelling examples. The workshop also highlighted best practices for navigating behavioral and technical questions, presenting confidently, and following up professionally. I also learned that if the interviewer says “Any questions?”, you should come up with a good question, like for example “What is your favorite part of working for this company?” because it shows them that you are interested instead of having no questions. I engaged in guided activities that helped me refine my interview approach, improve my communication skills, and strengthen my ability to connect my experience to employer needs. This experience directly supports my career goals. Even though I currently have a job, it is good to refresh and learn those skills again if I ever get a different job in the future.
