Introduction to Conversational AI
The Introduction to Conversational AI of LinkedIn Learning modules was sponsored by Ian Barkin and Linkedin Learning. My role was a student watching the videos and took a quiz at the end of the video which I got all the answers right. It provided a comprehensive introduction to conversational AI, covering its role in general intelligent automation. I learned multiple new things about the technology of conversational AI, including natural language processing, automatic speech recognition, and natural language understanding. I also learned that the development of conversational AI was a long and slow process. Another fact I learned about conversational AI is that there are different types of chatbots. The types of chatbots all have their trade-offs. Developing a conversational AI solution involves three primary approaches: building an in-house platform for maximum control but requiring substantial AI expertise and investment; utilizing pre-built third-party platforms for faster deployment but potentially limiting customization; or partnering with AI chatbot specialists for expert guidance and tailored solutions, often at a higher cost. It depends on the context of how the business runs, functions, and operates that it should go for the kind of AI chatbots that are best for it. I learned a new term called NLP model which means Natural Language Processing. It helps AI understand the meaning behind words and sentences. This LinkedIn Learning taught me something new and explains the difference between AI chatbots and traditional chatbots. AI chatbots are more advanced than traditional ones by leveraging NLP models to have comprehension and react to human language naturally. This allows for more dynamic and human-like interactions, unlike rule-based traditional chatbots which offer limited, scripted responses. The knowledge acquired through this LinkedIn Learning aligns directly with my career goals of leveraging AI to optimize business processes and enhance customer experiences in e-commerce since I have a background in that field. I am motivated to apply these insights to develop innovative AI strategies and drive digital transformation within organizations.
