What Is Web3?
I recently watched a course video about blockchain technology and Web3, sponsored by LinkedIn Learning. The course covers complex concepts like cryptocurrencies, NFTs, decentralization, DeFi, and DAOs. The first half of the LinkedIn Learning course video provided a detailed overview of Web3 and its potential to revolutionize the internet. The second half of the LinkedIn Learning course video talked about the technical workings of blockchain and its associated terminology.
Through watching this LinkedIn Learning, I learned and understood how Web3 aims to shift power from centralized entities to individual users by utilizing decentralized networks. I also learned about the evolution of the web, the mechanics behind blockchain consensus mechanisms like proof of work and proof of stake, and the real-world applications of smart contracts and NFTs.
This knowledge applies to my career goals of becoming a blockchain developer and innovator in decentralized technology. By grasping these principles, I am better equipped to contribute to meaningful discussions about the future of technology and play an active role in shaping a more decentralized and equitable digital world since Web3 is becoming the future of technology.
