Data Science Fundamentals: The Pandas Library
This webinar, on 11/12/2020, sponsored by Thinkful was on the topic of Data Science and Python. Earlier this week, I attended a webinar on the intro to Python and data science, and this webinar was a great extension on that one as it introduced a new element of Python: The Pandas Library. Pandas is a library for data analysis that is used for data cleaning, data manipulation and data analysis. It works well with large data sets. I learned how to manipulate the large data set from a IMDB using syntax within Python. This is relevant to my career because I have interest in working in data, and this was a good preview of stuff I might use in the field.
