My role as Treasurer consisted of managing all funds for the organization, requesting allocations from Temple, and organizing fundraisers. I also worked alongside my fellow officers to plan and organize monthly general body meetings (GBMs) during which our members could play games, meet new people, destress, and learn a bit about Chinese culture. One big event that we planned was our Winter Banquet which was a collaboration with Temple’s Vietnamese Student Association. To ensure this event ran smoothly, I worked with VSA’s treasurer to file allocations on time, correspond with vendors, and budget our financial allocations. Through this role, I learned a lot about financial management, budgeting, collaboration, and problem-solving.
