IT Intern
I worked as an IT Intern at Lavner Camps from June-Aug 2021. Lavner Camps is a technology-based summer camps that offers week-long classes on programming, gaming, and the arts.
My role involved teaching over 50 school-age children throughout the course of the summer. Some of the classes I taught were Python, Scratch, and Lua coding.
Teaching kids coding forced me to think about simple ways to explain coding concepts given the age group I was working with. This is relevant to some of the courses taught within MIS, and helped me to improve my problem solving ability as well as my public speaking skills.
