Using Power BI with Excel
The LinkedIn Learning course sponsored by Madecraft, focuses on advancing data analysis skills using Power BI. Throughout the course, instructed by John David Ariansen, I learned how to seamlessly integrate Excel with Power BI, covering essential aspects such as power pivots, data importation, data cleaning, and shaping, as well as advanced topics like data modeling and using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for calculations. The course also provided insights into visualizing data effectively through the use of built-in charts and graphs, with a helpful primer on optimizing PivotTables and Pivot Charts. The skills acquired align directly with my coursework and career goals in Management Information Systems. MIS involves leveraging technology to solve business challenges, and proficiency in tools like Power BI is crucial for efficient data management and informed decision-making within organizational contexts. This course has equipped me with practical knowledge that I can directly apply to real-world scenarios, enhancing my ability to contribute to data-driven decision-making processes in my future career.
