Future Aspirations
As a music and entertainment enthusiast I hope to utilize my degree in marketing to pursue a career in promotion or marketing within the entertainment industry. I have been involved in performance since I was nine years old as an Irish dancer, traditional Irish musician, and dance instructor. I developed strengths in areas such as public speaking, management, organization, and promotion through my work as a performer and teacher throughout high school.
Most of the venues where I performed as a dancer and musician were music festivals. I have attended countless festivals as a performer, volunteer, and spectator, and I have a strong interest in the organization and promotion of these festivals. I am a volunteer at Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee, as well as a yearly attendee at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Irish Fest, and other festivals in Milwaukee. I would relish the opportunity to become a bigger part of these festivals through a career in planning, management, marketing, or promotions, and I hope to one day be instrumental in the implementation of a successful performance festival.
