Neuron Nectars’ organization type is IT as an Engine Room. Neuron Nectar is established as a central governing system, using IT to handle day to day operations (orders and inventory tracking), and is managed separately from the business; making IT operational and internal to the company.
Since we will be selecting an off-the-shelf inventory tracking system, the scorecard approach will be used to compare each alternative system against a set of criteria in order to select one for implementation. The criteria and options for a system will be determined once all requirements have been gathered.
Financial measures include:
ROI – to gage the impact and turnaround of the project
% productivity – to gage the efficiency of the system on product sourcing and delivery, and the effect on operational costs
