Experience

SixFlagslogoSix Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, NJ.   On a daily basis, I interacted with up to 20,000 guests. As a lifeguard, I needed to be able to think quickly to assess potentially hazardous situations and cooperate as a team to prevent any injuries or losses to the park.  Being a retail team member taught me to handle customer concerns in a patient manner and to clearly communicate with guests. I was lauded for me work three times: awarded Ghoul of the Year in 2010, awarded a $1,000 Six Flags Scholarship in 2012, and nominated Lifeguard of the Year in 2012.

frobridge logoFrogbridge Day Camp, Millstone, NJ.  During my summer at Frogbridge, I gained leadership skills and learned how to provide care for children with special needs. Each day, I supervised a group of 12 campers during transportation to and from their houses. Once at the camp, I led arts, crafts, sports, and hobby workshops for a group of 20 middle school girls. One of the girls I worked with had special needs and required extra care and attention. Providing this care taught me not only how to attend to special needs children, but also how to balance my time to make sure each camper received enough time and attention.
