Listening to Jen Simmons detail the essential information regarding HTML, in which is the foundation of websites and web application development. This essential training started off by giving the viewers an understanding of HTML’s utilization and function, helping explain the role HTML plays. Afterwards, Jen described how to format text properly. Specifically, I learned about the syntax of HTML elements, paragraphs, headlines, lists, and quotes. It was interesting to learn about superscripts, subscripts, and small text. These characters are versatile in different academic subjects, such as certain mathematical and scientific concepts. Next, I gained a deeper understanding of the power HTML holds. Jen covered information on debugging HTML, attributes, ARIA roles, and weird characters we may encounter. Lastly, I learned useful information about building navigation, structuring content, building forms, and creating tables. These details will be helpful in constructing excellent in HTML. Completing the HTML Essential Training provided me with a plethora of valuable information that could be implemented in future coursework and positions of employment. Many software developers and analyst use HTML on a daily basis. I hope to apply the knowledge I acquired in a future course or job opportunity.
