Career Objectives
Now that I officially declared a major in Risk Management and Insurance, I have more of an idea of what I would like to do upon graduation. Though my path is not crystal clear, I am will keep my options and eyes open for any opportunities that I think will further my career in the insurance industry. The following is a list of post-graduation professional and personal goals and aspirations:
- Work at an insurance carrier as an underwriter or insurance brokerage to hone my technical skills
- Acquire/invest in real estate
- Start my own insurance agency that caters to the needs of commercial and residential consumers
- Achieve the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation
- Teach Risk Management and Insurance at a university
