The Kenneth Kratz Management Company
Of all my work experience, the Kenneth Kratz Management Company is my longest tenured employer, thus far. From Summer 2007 to Summer 2012, I worked as a seasonal Maintenance Worker during the winter and summer months.
I facilitated the outdoor and indoor maintenance of more than 120 rental units in Montgomery and Bucks counties. During the warmer summer months, I largely did landscaping and lawn care, such as mulching beds and weeding. However, I also had the opportunity to do tree and masonry work. Once the weather turned colder, I worked more on apartment and building maintenance. I mostly worked on prepping the apartments for finish work. This prep work involved removing carpets and pads, cleaning windows and bathrooms, and removing floors and apartment hardware. Towards the end of my tenure, I had exposure to some basic electrical and plumbing work, as well.
I learned a great deal during my time with the Kenneth Kratz Management Company. The job taught me flexibility, problem-solving, and relationship building because often times I was not nearly as prepared as I should have been to tackle the task at hand, but I always managed to complete the job because I could call on coworkers in the business for assistance, and they were always willing to lend a hand or advice.
