Data can be thought about in two ways: technically open and legally open. Technically open means that the data has to be accessible for anybody. It can not have requirements of certain software downloads it must also be presented in an API. Legally open means that the data must be open for everybody it can not exclude a certain group of people it must be also have “universal participation”. I should care because as a citizen of the US I should have equal access to data and shouldn’t have to have a hard time accessing this type of data. I should also care because sometimes these data;s consists of private and personal content that could also be considered an invasion of privacy. Ijaspid Kenna
