Google Analytics Information
Students,
Just some helpful reading for your google analytics assignment:
https://www.optimizesmart.com/understanding-users-in-google-analytics/
Also, please remember to double and triple check your settings for analytics, if you get one of the settings incorrectly set, you run the risk of there being no data collected in your results.
Also, it can take up to 7 days or more for results to show up in your analytics after there has been activity – so please plan accordingly for your LearnIT#2 deadline.

RESENDING: Re: REMINDERS: Week #10: Nov 4, 2019 MSCIS 2101 Section 4
Resending this today as a reminder for this evening’s class.
- This course became a VERY different course this afternoon. It will be very different from the first 9 weeks and it will be very different from any other course you have ever taken. It is very important that you follow directions carefully and ask questions if you do not understand something.
- I am assuming you all have what I would call “basic computer skills”. I assume that you know how to Google things. I assume that you can follow a link, go to a site, download and install some software. I assume that you can create a folder and download a file into that folder. I assume you can open a file from within an application. We have had too many students across the multiple sections for this course who struggled with what the school considers “basic computer skills”. If you are struggling with any of these things, get some help! There are plenty of online tutorials that you can use to learn basic computer skills.
- Do not fall behind! What we do each week from this point on will build on the previous weeks. If you are having trouble, get help. If you fall behind you will have great difficulty catching up. You need to come to class well prepared (do your readings and watch your assigned videos) and stay ahead. You can visit Niki, Madison or me during office hours – see the Virtual Helpdesk link that was added on the community site tab. You can meet with a student who can help you with your programming work online.
- When opening and editing your files in BBedit or Notepad ++, be sure not to change the extension of your coding files when you save your work; the correct extension is .html which is the file type you downloaded and will be working with this semester.
