At first glance the system analysis reading off of Wikipedia seemed complicated. But, as I read it a few times over I was able to understand it more and more. I was able to finally recall examples of systems analysis in my experience, although not nearly as complicated as what were learning. Systems Analysis is the process of studying a procedure, identifying its goal, and creating a optimal system to achieve said goal. An example from my own personal experience: I have dirty laundry. My goal is to make it clean. I put a hamper in my room and one by the drier. Dirty clothes I carry downstairs to throw in the washer, wet clothes go in the direr, dry clothes go in the clean hamper, and then that hamper goes to my room and replaced the dirty clothes hamper. It took me a bit to get that system down, but I was unknowingly engaging in systems analysis until I ended on this final “polished” system.

Hi Angelo. I enjoyed reading your example of a system regarding doing laundry. I too at first had a hard time understanding the material at first, but then it made sense and started to get easier after a few reads. There are so many example of systems, in my post I talked about making a sandwich and how there are multiple steps to get to the end result. I agree that engaging in system analysis is something we do all the time, we have a process for almost anything, we just don’t recognize that we do with certain things, such as taking a shower or studying for a test.
Hi Angelo, your post made understanding the process of a system very easy to understand. It seems as though everything in our lives is based upon systems. Systems are just a set of things working together to complete a singular outcome. Another example of an everyday system may be making your bed in the morning.
Hey Angelo, overall I felt your post was well explained. I liked your analogy about your dirty laundry and system analysis, it helped explain it better to someone who might not understand it. Systems are everywhere in our world. It is not just on computers, its everywhere from HVAC in a house, to pool systems, to even your nighttime skincare routine. Systems are anywhere and everywhere.
