First and foremost, MIS stands for management information systems. At first glance, many may think that this is computer science. However, think again!! It is very important to remember that MIS is not computer science, but in fact, consists of many more concepts. Essentially, MIS is a business where people are training individuals to use technology to improve their day-to-day activities in their organizations. People use these methods to solve problems within their business, so MIS becomes the glue that ties the organization together. Those who work in MIS use data and analytics to come up with systems to help enhance companies, grow revenue, create new business models, and much more. So, I think that it\u2019s safe to say that MIS is and never will be computer science.
