To start, cloud computing is when companies share their network on remote servers so that the company has its data store on the internet rather than on a local server. This allows employees and members of the organization to be able to access the network\/data any where at any time. One pro of cloud computing is reducing the infrastructure costs because in-house data storage can cost a lot of money and there needs to be a team to ensure the storage is well maintained and function properly. Another pro is the simple convenience of people in the organization being able to access the server at any time from any where. A third pro of cloud computing is protection against data breaches because the cloud based storage is a lot more secure than on-site storage center. However there are some cons that come along with cloud computing as well. One con is that you have limited control because the cloud infrastructure is usually owned by a third party, which means you are not in complete control of your data. Another con is that back ups and restores take longer for larger back ups and it could disrupt server speed depending on the amount of data. A final con is that you are reliant upon the internet for all back ups so if your internet is down you cannot access any data and work you have done is now gone.
