Where HTML and CSS are languages that give structure and style to web pages, JavaScript gives web pages interactive elements that engage a user. Javascripts provides functionality to the website. It determines actions to be performed based on user interactions. It determines what will happen when a user clicks on a button, hover over an element, scrolls up to a certain height, etc. For example: Because of Javascript, you are able to log in as a user on a website.
