Project Managers are people that are responsible for planning, developing, launching and managing a product. They identity the needs of the customers while also working with the business\u2019 objectives. I read an article on the Harvard Business Review website that discusses what qualities are needed to be a great project manager. There are a few competencies needed such as conducting customer interviews and user testing, performing market assessments, and defining and tracking success metrics. Many of these are learned through experience and not necessarily through a classroom. Other qualities include emotional intelligence, good relationship management skills, self and social awareness, technical skills and social awareness (Austin, 2017). I\u2019m still deciding what I want to do after graduating. Since starting Temple in January I\u2019ve received greater insight into different careers within the business world and product management is something I just learned about. It is something I could be interested in. I like the idea of doing research on a product and connecting with customers to understand their needs.<\/p>\n
