PLEASE NOTE that the below is the second edition.  If you have the first edition from MIS 2101 you may still use that book for this course.  Please do not buy a new version of the book for 2402.  Some of the chapters are numbered differently but the content is more or less the same.

Paperback: 464 pages
Publisher: Que Publishing

The following resource will be used to supplement classroom instruction.

Online resource: LinkedIn Learning

Visit LinkedIn Learning for access to the following:

  • HTML Essential Training w/ Jen Simmons
  • Creating Forms w/ Clarissa Peterson

Students may wish to use dual screens and/or stream the LinkedIn Learning videos on a tablet and work on a PC next to the tablet. This can dramatically increase productivity.

Students are expected to own a personal laptop with a working audio/visual capability for web conferencing.  See: https://www.fox.temple.edu/current-students/laptop-policy/

Limited resources are available for students who do not have the technology they need for class. Students with educational technology needs, including no computer or camera or insufficient Wifi-access, should submit a request outlining their needs using the Student Emergency Aid Fund form. The University will endeavor to meet

needs, such as with a long-term loan of a laptop or Mifi device, a refurbished computer, or subsidized internet access.
