Welcome to MIS2402

January 9, 2020

Hello and welcome to MIS2402, section 751. I look forward to our first class together.

Everyone should be doing the following immediately after the first class.

  1. Download and install the course related software before the start of class.  See the Setup Instructions posted under the Links section of this page.
  2. The semester will begin with an assignment that will require you to watch a substantial amount of material on LinkedIn Learning.  There’s no reason that you can’t get a head start on that.  In fact, I highly recommend you start it now.  See the Reference-HTML-Essentials.pdf here or under the Links section of this page. (You do not need a LinkedIn account to watch the videos.)
  3. There is another document called Codepen links which has links to practice the items that you will be watching videos on.  I strongly encourage everyone to do the practice as well.
  4. On the first day of class, I will take attendance, review the course (as it is documented on this site), and introduce some related material.
  5. There is a textbook for the class: JavaScript Absolute Beginner’s Guide by Kirupa Chinnathambi

I look forward to seeing you in class on 08/24.

-Prof Havakhor
