We will be using Tableau Prep for the data extract, transform, load part and Tableau Desktop for the data visualization part of this course. Tableau Prep works on Windows and MacOS. You have a free license for Tableau Prep for the duration of this course. The license also activates Tableau Desktop, a data visualization tool.
- Download Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop
- Select each product download link to get started. When prompted, enter your Temple email address for “Business E-mail” and “Temple University” for Organization.
- Activate the software using the product key. You can get the product get through the Community Site Gradebook; you’ll find it under TableauPrepKey.
Even though the license expires when the course is over, you can continue using Tableau as long as you are a student by requesting your own one-year license through the Tableau for Students program.
