Throughout the semester we will complete a number of in-class activities.  The directions for in-class activities and answer sheets that must be completed and submitted as assignments can be found here:

In-Class Activities

The following materials are required for the first week of class:

  • You will need to set up an account on AWS.  You will need to enter a credit card or debit card to create this account.  We will be using the free tier for just about everything we do with AWS but there may be some nominal charges.  We will also be working on getting each student AWS Educate credits to offset their cost of using AWS.  Plan on spending less than $50 on AWS for the entire semester.
  • You will be invited to join two AWS Academy Canvas courses by your instructor. These are called “Cloud Foundations” and “Cloud Developing”.   These class materials are provided at no cost to the student by Amazon.  In most weeks you will be required to view one of more videos from one or both of these courses before the start of class.
