{"id":349,"date":"2019-08-11T09:05:20","date_gmt":"2019-08-11T13:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/mis3406sec001spring2024\/?page_id=349"},"modified":"2024-05-13T10:26:47","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T14:26:47","slug":"assignments","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/mis3406sec001spring2024\/assignments\/","title":{"rendered":"Assignments"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"entry-title\">In-Class Activity Assignments<\/h1>\n<p>Completing all of the in-class activities and completing them on-time is essential to the success of a student in this course.\u00a0 The in-class activities provide the foundation for what students will be expected to do on their projects and demonstrate understanding of on the exams.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Each in-class activity completed in this class has a simple deliverable, typically a screen shot that student needs to take at the end of the in-class activity that shows that they have completed the in-class activity.\u00a0 These screen shots need to be pasted into the corresponding &#8220;ANWSER SHEET&#8221; and submitted via Canvas before the start of the next in-class activity.\u00a0 Students will not receive credit for any assignments that are not submitted <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>before the start of class on the due date listed in the course schedule<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\">Programming Assignments<\/h1>\n<p>There will be two programming assignments that must be completed and submitted via Canvas before the start of class on the due date specified in the class schedule.\u00a0 Late programming assignments will be accepted, however, late programming assignments will incur a 20% penalty for each day they are late.\u00a0 Programming assignments submitted more than 2 days late will not be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Links to the programming assignments will be found in our class schedule.<\/p>\n<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\"><a id=\"pro-points\"><\/a>PRO Points Assignment<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><strong>Overview and Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While this course utilizes most of the modules from the AWS Academy Cloud Foundations course, it does not utilize them all.\u00a0 For students who are considering preparing for and taking the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam, at a minimum, they will need to cover the remaining modules.\u00a0 Students who complete all of the modules (including the labs) and complete all of the Knowledge Checks with a score of 80% or higher will earn a certificate from AWS.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Everyone who successfully completes the assignment will receive\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/professionalachievement\/\">50 PRO points<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deliverable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A page on your Community Site E-Portfolio that summarizes what you learned by completing all of the Knowledge Checks and displays your certificate.
