In-Class Activity Assignments
Completing all of the in-class activities and completing them on-time is essential to the success of a student in this course. The in-class activities provide the foundation for what students will be expected to do on their projects and demonstrate understanding of on the exams.
Each in-class activity completed in this class has a simple deliverable, typically a screen shot that student needs to take at the end of the in-class activity that shows that they have completed the in-class activity. These screen shots need to be pasted into the corresponding “ANWSER SHEET” and handed in to your instructor before the start of the next in-class activity. Students will not receive credit for any assignments that are not submitted before the start of class on the due date listed in the course schedule.
Programming Assignments
There will be two programming assignments that must be completed and submitted before the start of class on the due date specified in the class schedule. Late programming assignments will be accepted, however, late programming assignments will incur a 20% penalty for each day they are late. Programming assignments submitted more than 2 days late will not be accepted.
Links to the programming assignments will be found in our class schedule.
PRO Points Assignment
Overview and Purpose:
While this course utilizes most of the modules from the AWS Academy Cloud Foundations course, it does not utilize them all. For students who are considering preparing for and taking the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam, at a minimum, they will need to cover the remaining modules. Students who complete all of the modules (including the labs) and complete all of the Knowledge Checks with a score of 80% or higher will earn a certificate from AWS.
Everyone who successfully completes the assignment will receive 50 PRO points.
Deliverable:
A page on your Community Site E-Portfolio that summarizes what you learned by completing all of the Knowledge Checks and displays your certificate. Send me a single email with links to the front page of your Community Site E-Portfolio and to your write-up page.
Students will also need to visit the “Manage Points” section on their dashboard on the Community site and request the awarding of points under the “Class project” category to have the points awarded.
The deadline is 11:59 PM on the last day of classes for the semester. No late submissions will be accepted!
